Job summary

Pulaski County is seeking a facilities and grounds aide to support building maintenance, security, and custodial tasks across county buildings. The role involves performing repairs, assisting with lighting, plumbing, and carpentry duties, as well as mail courier tasks within the county system.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to work varied shifts, and a valid Arkansas driver’s license within 30 days. Overtime eligibility and safety considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or GED equivalency including vocational training in building construction or maintenance.
• Some experience performing manual labor, building maintenance, building security, custodial work, or related duties.
• Must be able to work variable shifts.
• Must possess, or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire, a valid Arkansas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Completes building maintenance repairs generated through work orders and requests by directors and tenants.
• Assists in repairing parking lot gate, lights, locks, doors, etc.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms; maintains supplies.
• Moves furniture and equipment as directed.
• Cleans and washes windows within County buildings.
