Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian Lead to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas while providing direction to custodial staff as needed. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to schedules.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, maintaining supply inventory, and assisting the Custodial Supervisor with scheduling and training. Flexible duties may be assigned to support team needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years related janitorial experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; safe chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Provide work direction to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track and maintain supplies inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Monitor PPE usage and safety practices.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement.
