Job summary

The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform custodial and housekeeping work across 13 tribal office buildings in Winnebago, NE. You will clean, disinfect restrooms, maintain floors, and assist with minor repairs following established routines.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift heavy objects, pass a background check and drug screen, and fluency in English. This position offers benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, and equipment.
• Ability to do minor repairs and adjustments to fixtures and equipment.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment (vacuum cleaners, buffers).
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work with others and perform heavy manual work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe's core mission, vision and values.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies; clean water fountains.
• Change light bulbs; unclog sinks and report needed repairs.
• Sweep, vacuum, wax, mop, and buff floors; dust offices and common areas; collect trash.
• Move furniture as needed; set up rooms and gym; maintain walkways.
• Stock restroom supplies; strip and wax floors as assigned.
• Attend required meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
