Job summary

Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning, minor maintenance and repair tasks across 13 tribal office buildings. You will follow established routines, operate custodial equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety in facilities located in Winnebago, NE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Some knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, and equipment.
• Ability to perform minor repairs to fixtures and equipment.
• Ability to operate vacuums, buffers, and custodial gear.
• Careful use of cleaning products on various surfaces.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work with others and perform heavy manual tasks when needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the employer's core mission, vision and values.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies; sanitize water fountains.
• Change light bulbs and report repair needs to maintenance.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop floors; dust offices, cafeteria, gym and related areas; remove trash.
• Move furniture, set up rooms, keep entryways clear of snow and salt as needed.
• Stock restroom supplies; strip and wax floors when assigned.
• Attend required meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
