Job summary

Washington State University is seeking a Custodian 1 for Auxiliary Facilities Services to maintain cleanliness across residence halls, apartments and dining areas. You will perform commercial cleaning tasks, wear PPE, and operate buffers, burnishers, shampooers and vacuums.

Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, and ladder work are required. Shifts vary: 7:00-15:30, 7:30-16:00, 8:00-16:30, or other schedules as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to ~50 pounds.
• Stand and walk continuously during shift and operate PPE.
• Ability to perform custodial duties including cleaning and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, classrooms, residence halls, offices and dining areas.
• Move heavy items such as tables, furniture and cleaning supplies.
• Perform duties including painting and spackling with PPE and cleaning equipment.
