Job summary

Covenant House is seeking a dependable Janitor to maintain clean, sanitary environments across our facilities in Anchorage, AK. You will perform a full range of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, welcoming space for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, restocking supplies, trash disposal, and light maintenance while following safety guidelines and using PPE. High school diploma or GED and English fluency required; 6 months cleaning experience

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and callouts.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Preferred 6 months experience using cleaning equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize, and restock hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas as assigned.
• Dust surfaces both low and high and wipe down various surfaces.
• Remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas.
• Maintain clean and orderly carts and storage areas.
• May assist in laundry and linen removal and replenish guest supplies.
