Job summary

Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is seeking a part-time Custodian to keep district facilities clean and welcoming. You will work solo or with a team, prepare facilities for programs, and assist with room set-ups for rentals and events.

The role requires a high school diploma and custodial experience, with AED/CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of hire. Regular hours are weekday, with potential shifts based on activities and rentals.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Two or more years’ custodial experience.
• AED/CPR certification or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests.
• Maintain clean and orderly condition in and around district buildings.
• Perform cleaning tasks on daily/weekly/monthly basis as directed.
• Identify safety or cleanliness issues and respond promptly.
• Set up and take down rooms for rentals and programs.
