Job summary

State Center Community College District in California seeks a dedicated custodian to maintain classrooms, restrooms, offices and common areas. You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, floor care and event setup to support daily campus operations.

This role requires ability to follow safety protocols, operate cleaning equipment, and complete work orders. A high school diploma or GED and some custodial experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have basic English literacy and ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Sweep, mop floors and vacuum spaces.
• Prepare rooms for events, meetings and classroom use.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment as needed for events.
• Operate and maintain cleaning tools and equipment.
• Gathers and disposes of rubbish and debris; maintain closets and carts stocked.
