Job summary

The Town of Apple Valley is seeking custodial staff to perform the full range of cleaning and maintenance duties for designated facilities. Responsibilities include moving furniture to set up for classes and events and assisting the public with basic information.

Evening, night, and weekend work are required, and positions are available in both full-time and part-time capacities. Previous custodial experience in public facilities is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and one (1) year of experience in janitorial or custodial work.
• Previous custodial experience in a commercial, municipal, or public facility is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full range of custodial duties for assigned buildings and facilities.
• Move furniture and equipment to set up for classes, activities, and functions.
• Interact with the public and provide basic information and assistance.
• Perform related work as required.

Education

12th grade or equivalent
