Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Livermore, CA is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. The role covers daily janitorial tasks and safety compliance. This position works Tuesday-Saturday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with pay of $18–$19 per hour.

No supervisory responsibilities; strong teamwork and reliable attendance are essential. Applicants should be able to read and follow instructions, communicate clearly, and operate cleaning equipment safely.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals is expected.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
