Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. Responsibilities include performing janitorial duties, following the daily schedule, operating cleaning equipment, and ensuring a safe, professional work environment.

The role emphasizes safety adherence, teamwork, and reliable communication with supervisors and staff, with shifts Mon-Fri 5pm-1:30am at $18.95–$20.95 per hour.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• May be required to be forklift certified.
• Bilingual a plus; read and interpret instructions; strong verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; upkeep and care of cleaning equipment; knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
