Job summary

State-of-South-Carolina is seeking a custodial staff member to keep university facilities clean and orderly, including offices, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and stairways. You will perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, vacuuming carpets, disposing of waste, and using buffing and shampoo machines.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and custodial duties.
• Preference for WorkReady SC Career Readiness Certificate.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving history required.
• Strong customer service skills and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, rooms, hallways, restrooms, lobbies, elevators and stairways.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors; vacuum rugs and carpets.
• Dispose of trash and waste; operate cleaning equipment as directed.
• Interact regularly with students and University personnel.
