Job summary

State of Oklahoma's DEQ is seeking a Temporary Housekeeping/Custodial Worker in Oklahoma City. The position is part-time (30-40 hours/week) with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Administrative Services Division – Support Services.

Candidates must pass a background check and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for H1B visa holders. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing spaces, trash removal, restrooms, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Awareness of chemical product safety and waste disposal procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize hard surfaces, floors, shared areas, training rooms and conference rooms.
• Perform daily trash removal, restroom cleaning and dispenser restocking.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors and conduct weekly/monthly floor maintenance.
• Dust office furniture, cubicles, fixtures, and wall-mounted items.
• Maintain stairwells, break rooms and restrooms with proper signage and safety practices.
• Monitor supplies, sharps containers and facility conditions; report issues to management.
• Assist with special room setups, laundry tasks, outdoor duties, and coverage during staff absences.
