Job summary

Grant County Conference Center in Silver City, NM is seeking a dedicated custodian under general supervision to perform custodial and maintenance duties, ensuring a clean, safe environment and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include cleaning, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitation, operating basic cleaning equipment, reporting hazards; must read/write English and follow instructions with minimal supervision; High School diploma and NM driver's license required; standard work hours

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have Valid New Mexico State Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English; strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and maintenance duties to keep county facilities clean, orderly, and safe.
• Clean and dust surfaces; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty trash and debris.
• Sanitize toilets, sinks, and water fountains; restock dispensers.
• Maintain cleanliness of mirrors and windows; report hazards to the Conference Center Manager.
• Work with staff and public to meet custodial needs and resolve issues.
