The City of Weslaco is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order in city facilities in Weslaco, Texas. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, bathrooms, windows, and common areas, stocking supplies, and assisting with minor maintenance.

You will follow department policies and support events with setup and teardown. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of related cleaning/maintenance work preferred.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license and be insurable.
• Emergency Management/Incident Command Training within 3 months.

Responsabilidades

• Keep buildings and property clean and orderly.
• Perform routine cleaning duties and heavy tasks when needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Provide quality customer service at all times.
• Set up and take down furniture or equipment for functions/events.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling; maintain restroom facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents to supervisor.
