Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Westminster, MD is seeking a Maintenance/Janitorial team member to perform general cleaning, cart retrieval, and routine building maintenance. You will help keep the club safe, clean, and welcoming for members and team members, while adhering to club standards and procedures.

Typical duties include operating cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and supporting maintenance tasks across the club, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all club areas including the sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds and parking lot.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Operates floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler machines safely and efficiently.
• Restocks maintenance and cleaning supplies and keeps receiving dock and maintenance closets clean and organized.
