Job Title: Facilities Custodian
This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility at this branch and corporate space. The individual selected will be responsible for identifying areas that need attention and responding to areas pointed out that need cleaned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenish all paper towels or toiletries.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables according to facility guidelines.
- Respond to emergency clean‑ups in a timely manner.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate individuals when necessary.
- Follow facility security policies, locking/unlocking doors as needed.
- Keep an organized storage area for custodial equipment and materials and notify supervisor of supply shortages.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Dress professionally.
- Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
- Adhere to all First United Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Physical ability to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds, push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
