Job summary

ContactUs Communications is seeking a Facilities Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety at our Grindstone facility. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, perform light maintenance, and support ongoing building upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Open availability and the ability to work weekends will help keep our location running smoothly. You will join a fast-paced team that values reliability and proactive problem solving in a dynamic work setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior janitorial or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous facility walkthroughs and keep areas clean and welcoming.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms and high-touch surfaces.
• Clean desks, walls, windows, and fixtures; move furniture as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and assist with minor repairs.
• Operate ladders for ceiling and high areas cleaning; remove snow or ice as needed.
• Support special projects and report observations to leadership.

Location: Grindstone, PA
Schedule: Open availability until 11:00 PM, including weekends

ContactUs Communications is looking for a Facilities Custodian who takes pride in keeping things clean, safe, and running smoothly. If you enjoy staying active, solving small problems before they become big ones, and knowing your work makes a real difference every day-this role was made for you!

What You'll Be Doing

No two days look exactly the same, and that's part of the fun! You'll help keep our building and grounds in top shape by:

• Performing continuous walkthroughs of the facility and parking lots to keep everything looking its best
• Sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using professional equipment
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and high-touch surfaces
• Emptying trash and keeping workspaces, common areas, and entryways clean and welcoming
• Cleaning desks, walls, furniture, doors, windows (interior and exterior), countertops, and light fixtures
• Changing light bulbs and assisting with minor building, furniture, or equipment repairs
• Using ladders when needed to clean ceilings, walls, blinds, and fixtures
• Moving furniture, boxes, cabinets, and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning
• Keeping outdoor areas clean - sweeping walkways, raking leaves, cutting grass, and removing snow or ice as needed
• Supporting special projects and daily tasks assigned by leadership
• Sharing observations, concerns, or improvement ideas with leadership

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable reading and following equipment manuals and safety instructions
• Good organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Willingness to take initiative and address issues before they become problemsClear written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
