Job summary

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, four years custodial experience with two in a supervisory role, a valid driver's license, forklift certification within one year, and be able to drive college vehicles. Working hours are 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of custodial experience, with two (2) years of supervisory role.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certified within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of custodial staff.
• Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with standards.
• Train, coach, and evaluate custodial employees on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety practices; conduct evaluations and performance management.
• Plan and coordinate staffing assignments, shift coverage, and resource allocation to meet operational needs and service expectations.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coaching, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials; order replacements as needed.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and tools.
• Respond to facility-related issues, emergencies, and special cleaning requests.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules for routine and deep-cleaning projects.
• Enforce workplace safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Prepare reports and document staff performance and activities.
• Coordinate with facility management and contractors to support operations.
