TMEIC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist in Houston to ensure facilities, building services and equipment are code compliant and operating reliably and optimally. You will perform basic maintenance and repair, engaging third parties as necessary.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance and repair on facilities, building services and equipment; develop preventive maintenance programs; manage contracts and vendors; and serve as primary emergency responder for facility issues.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years' experience in facilities maintenance and operations.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical codes and systems.
• Demonstrated skill using basic hand tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeter).
• Demonstrated experience negotiating facilities/maintenance contracts.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%.

• Direct contractors and assigned employees to complete projects as needed.
• Serve as primary emergency responder for any facility issues.
• Communicate project statuses through reports and informal contacts.

Requirements

• HSD orequivalent
• 5 years' experienceinfacilitiesmaintenance and operations
• Working knowledge of electrical,plumbingand mechanical codes and systems
• Demonstrated skill and experience usingbasic hand toolseffectively,including, but limited to,sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, multi-meter
• Demonstrated experiencesuccessfullynegotiating andestablishingfacilities/maintenance contracts
• Abilitytospend prolonged periodsstanding and walking throughout facilities
• Abilitytolift upto50lbs.
• Abilityto bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl tomaintainequipment and buildings
• Abilityto perform work in a variety of weather conditions
• Availability as first point of contact for any facility emergency
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
• Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills

• Proficiency in MS Office programs
