Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to maintain NFH properties, equipment, and grounds. This hands-on role ensures safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities across sites, with travel to nearby locations as needed.

The position reports to the Facilities team and requires 2–3 years of maintenance experience, basic electrical/HVAC knowledge, and strong organizational skills. Standard hours with occasional after-hours work for emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of general maintenance or facilities experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and related building systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and coordinate outside vendor support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and other building needs.
  • Inspect facilities and systems to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate repairs with outside vendors for specialized work.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other facility systems.
  • Coordinate pest control, snow/ice removal, and grounds maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate facility maintenance and inspection records.
  • Respond to facility emergencies following safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of NFH fleet vehicles.
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles and follow safety protocols.

Job description

At Network for Hope (NFH), our work is driven by our mission and having safe, reliable, and well-maintained facilities is an important part of supporting that work.

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing general facility maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and upkeep across NFH properties. This hands-on role helps ensure our buildings, equipment, grounds, and fleet vehicles are safe, functional, clean, and ready to support our teams.

This position will involve regular regional travel throughout NFH's donation service area to service and support other NFH locations.

This position typically works standard business hours; however, occasional overtime, after-hours, or weekend work may be required based on facility needs or emergencies.

What You'll Do

Facilities Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and other building needs.
  • Regularly inspect facilities and building systems to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
  • Coordinate repairs and service with outside vendors when specialized support is needed.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other facility systems.
  • Coordinate pest control, snow and ice removal, and other facility services as needed.
  • Inspect and monitor alarm, fire protection, carbon dioxide, and other safety systems and coordinate timely repairs.
  • Complete routine and weather-related grounds maintenance, including property cleanup and removal of fallen branches or debris.
  • Maintain accurate facility maintenance and inspection records.
  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow established safety procedures.
Fleet & Vehicle Support
  • Coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of NFH fleet vehicles.
  • Help ensure vehicles remain clean, safe, and properly maintained.
Safety
  • Safely operate and maintain hand tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
  • Follow established safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Identify and address potential hazards to help maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.
What You'll Bring
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of general maintenance or facilities experience required.
    • Working knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
    • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and related building systems.
    • Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine when outside vendor support is needed.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple maintenance needs and priorities.
    • Experience supporting multiple properties preferred.
    • Experience in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment preferred.
