Job summary

Journey Church is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to assist with maintenance across campus buildings. You will work with the Facilities Team to keep environments excellent for services and events, coordinating with the Facilities Director on weekly projects and emergencies.

The role requires basic construction, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, plus strong communication and time management skills to support services, events, and conferences. Flexibility and physical stamina are essential.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Facilities Director to discuss upcoming projects.
• Respond to emergencies and collaborate with the Facilities Team on solutions.
• Complete all work tickets promptly.
• Support Ministry Leads to ensure everything works for services and events.
• Oversee supplies inventory and stocking of utility areas.
• Perform heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Execute and document routine facilities inspections and maintenance.
• Reconcile credit card purchases with itemized receipts.
• Secure buildings after hours and report deficiencies to the Director.
• Notify of repair needs and unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Sunday: ensure exterior areas are clean for services, monitor alarms, A/C, lights, and sound.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Facilities Coordinator role at Journey Church is to assist with all maintenance required at each building/campus; to work with the Facilities Team to accomplish the goal of providing and maintaining an environment of excellence in order to accomplish the vision of Journey Church.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the Facilities Director to discuss and prepare for all projects in the upcoming week (services, projects, outside vendor work, etc.)
• Respond to all emergencies and make assessments. Work with Facilities Team to find a solution when necessary
• Complete all work tickets assigned in a prompt manner
• Supports Ministry Leads to ensure everything is in working order for services, events, and conferences
• Oversee consumables and cleaning supplies inventory, placing orders for new products and stocking utility supply areas as needed
• Performing heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned
• Execute and document routine facilities inspection, cleaning and maintenance
• Reconcile credit card purchases ensuring each receipt is itemized and coded appropriately
• Secure all buildings after operating hours
• Notify Facilities Director of occurring deficiencies, repair needs and unsafe conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Sunday Responsibilities

• Ensures the exterior areas of all buildings on campus are clean and ready to receive guests for services
• Monitors alarm systems, A/C units, lights, and sound in all buildings
• Addresses any facilities issues as needed

• This role is responsible for the supervision of the LW Ministry Support team during Sunday services.
