Job summary

SpaceX, founded to enable human life on Mars, is seeking a Facilities Control & Automation Engineer in Redmond, WA, to design, build, and activate advanced automation for Starlink facilities. You will develop BAS/BMS and SCADA systems, integrating HVAC and critical utility controls.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity teams, perform FAT/TAB, and mentor teams while delivering reliable, energy-efficient infrastructure. This role requires a BS in engineering and hands-on automation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of professional automation/controls design & commissioning experience in industrial settings.
• Experience with BAS/BMS platforms, especially Honeywell Niagara and Delta Controls.
• PLC programming experience.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain BAS/BMS systems.
• Configure graphics, alarms, trends, and databases within BAS/BMS.
• Develop control sequences for HVAC and facility utilities to improve efficiency.
• Support commissioning, FAT, TAB, and system handover for new infrastructure.
