Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Construction Worker II to perform maintenance and construction across Alaska facilities. Reports to the Site Supervisor for the facilities construction group.

The role requires extensive hands-on work with tools, equipment operation, scaffolding, framing, and carpentry, with travel between plant locations as needed. Emphasis on safety and environmental awareness is essential.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of non-supervisor construction experience across residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Proficient with common construction hand and power tools.
  • Understanding of construction drawings, plans and math.
  • Preferred: HS diploma or GED, Associate’s Degree, or skilled trades graduate.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and familiarity with motor vehicles.
  • Experience with basic concrete and carpentry; plumbing and piping understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Operates medium sized equipment such as skid-steers, forklifts, surfacing equipment, dock cranes, man lifts, telescoping lifts.
  • Scaffolding staging, assembly, and safety.
  • Wood framing, window and door installation and roofing.
  • Interior carpentry finishing and sheetrock.
  • Installing ventilation ducting and plumbing fixtures.
  • Concrete forming, reinforcing, and placing.
  • Adheres to safety policies to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Travels to AK plants as needed to provide coverage.
