Range Resources is seeking a Facilities Construction Supervisor to oversee the planning, coordination, and inspection of mechanical systems for multiple well site production facilities. You will lead, mentor, and coordinate with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Responsibilities include supervising contractors, ensuring code compliance, and driving cost-effective construction practices across several sites while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 4–8 years of relevant operations/construction experience in oil & gas facilities.
  • Technical/Associates with 3 years relevant operations/construction experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years relevant operations/construction experience.
  • PM certificate with 3 years relevant operations/construction experience.
  • Construction Management degree with 3 years relevant operations/construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, budget, construct, test, and commission facilities by RRC employees and subcontractors.
  • Oversee multiple sites and coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, EHS, Drilling, Completions, and Suppliers/Consultants.
  • Inspect progress daily and ensure code compliance, design drawings followed, and safety standards.
  • Mentor and train construction staff; provide direction to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Directly manage contractor performance and ensure optimal resource allocation.

Description

Position Summary

Facilities Construction Supervisor responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and inspection of the construction, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems for assigned well site production facilities construction projects. This position is responsible for multiple facility construction projects from start to finish. Provides leadership, mentors, teaches and coaches personnel working on the site. Actively participate in meetings representing the facilities construction group. Coordinates construction efforts on a daily basis with other construction groups Engineering, Purchasing, Production, EHS, Drilling, Completions, Suppliers & Consultants. Ensures each project is completed in scope, on time and on budget through direct supervision of multiple contractors for multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of multiple facilities construction projects, which includes planning, budgeting, constructing, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting; for Mechanical related construction activities. Contributes to improving facilities design and construction methods. Plan, coordinate, supervise, inspect the construction, testing and commissioning of facilities by RRC employees and subcontractors on schedule. Oversee a project from start to finish, scheduling, and coordinate efforts with other construction personnel.
  • Inspects facility construction progress at four or five sites every day. Takes action to assure code compliance, ensure design drawings have been followed, safe construction is being practiced, identify potential hazards, and inspects the quality of all material and equipment. Identify opportunities to save time and reduce costs, increase productivity of all groups working on the pad, thinking and planning several days ahead of what must happen on the pad, understanding how all the production facilities operate to optimize construction, commissioning and operations. Orders additional materials, rock, equipment, pump trucks to expedite construction.
  • Addresses issues on multiple sites. Helps to resolve issues immediately, respectfully and effectively. Has delegated authority from the Area Supervisor to make construction related technical decisions. May instruct on site construction site personnel to change practice in order to meet agreed upon expectations. Assures that the correct personnel, skill sets, equipment are on site and coordinated to complete construction in the most cost effective manner.
  • Inspects all construction details Identifies quality issues, design and process deficiencies that others may miss. Dispatches the resources needed to correct the issue. Knows when to seek advice from Engineering, Area Supervisor, Construction Manager and manufacturer to expedite solutions and accomplish what is in the best interest of Range Resources.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure that facilities are safely constructed, inspected and tested as designed. Provide input and ideas to improve facility design and assure cost effective reliable facilities.
  • Perform Material procurement - Read bill of material. Work with Purchasing to ensure that the right material is ordered and on site on schedule. Upon Material Delivery - inspect parts to ensure quality specs are met. Work with Purchasing to develop bid packages. Help prepare estimates and justifications for AFE's for work to be completed.
  • Ensures that all required records related to construction, testing and commissioning of facilities are kept. Ensures that facilities are properly painted, signed, barriers, secure and final clean up.
  • Directly mentors and trains Construction Supervisor on process and performance improvements.
  • Fills in for any Supervisor who is on vacation, in training or out sick.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School and 4 to 8 years of demonstrated relevant operations and or construction experience, leadership and a knowledge of oil & gas production facilities - mechanical; or
  • Technical or Associates with 3 years of demonstrated relevant operations and or construction experience, leadership and a knowledge of oil & gas production facilities - mechanical; or
  • Bachelors degree with 3 years of demonstrated relevant operations and or construction experience, leadership and a knowledge of oil & gas production facilities - mechanical; or
  • Professional Project Management certificate with 3 years demonstrated relevant operations and or construction experience, leadership and a knowledge of oil & gas production facilities - mechanical; or
  • Construction Management degree with 3 years of demonstrated relevant operations and or construction experience, leadership and a knowledge of oil & gas production facilities - mechanical;

Oil & Gas Exp Required: Preferred
Skills:

Oil and Gas operations and construction experience; Intermediate computer skills: File manager, Excel, Word, Power Point, Site View, Citrix; Strong project management skills. Plans scope schedule, budget quality estimates and cost control reports; Reads and understands design drawings, flow diagrams and P&ID's; Knowledge of specialty construction equipment and construction methods; Equipment operation experience -- excavators, dozers; Strong organizational skills / attention to detail; Proven skills multi-tasking several priorities and project responsibilities; time management; Strong interpersonal and communications skills to deal with vendors and construction team members; Understanding of OSHA code compliance.

  • Mechanical-- Oil & gas mechanical facility mechanical experience. Understand and assure code compliance. ANSI

Gas production units, indirect fired heaters, fuel conditioning systems, liquid dump systems- condensate and water, over pressure protection, containment, storage tanks, venting, draining, drip tanks, vapor destruction and vapor recovery units, filter separators, dehydration, manual & automated chokes, launcher and receivers, gas measurement, above and below ground high pressure pipe, welding procedures, fittings, welded and threaded connections, knocker unions, pipe supports, valves, control valves, safety valves, pressure relief valves, compression, safety systems, plunger lift equipment, laser transit, painting and coating, install barriers hydrostatic testing, identification of new pipeline routes & facility locations, pipeline construction permit requirements, stream crossings, road boring, poly pipe fusing, non-destructive testing - radiographic X-Ray, liquid magnetic particle and ultrasonic, trench compaction, installation of foundations, temporary line heaters, compression.
