Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Construction Project Manager Associate to support planning and delivery of construction and MEP projects across our facilities in Kansas City, MO. The role emphasizes scheduling, procurement, site oversight, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure safety, quality, and timely completion.

Key duties include budgeting, vendor coordination, risk management, and preparing reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, architecture, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational, interspersal skills, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of construction methods and building systems (including MEP).
• Understanding of project management principles and novice experience with project management software such as Excel or Microsoft Project.
• Proven understanding of project documents, including Gantt charts, construction documents, to include drawings and specifications, etc.
• Ability to problem-solve, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Scheduling: Develop project plans, timelines, and documentation; track milestones and risks.
• Budget & Procurement Support: Assist with cost estimates, budget tracking, and vendor proposals; coordinate orders and delivery logistics.
• Construction Oversight: Monitor job-site progress for quality, safety, and code compliance; review punch lists and inspections.
• Resource & Workflow Management: Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment across active projects; communicate impacts.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide updates to internal partners, contractors, and project teams; prepare reports and meeting summaries.
• Risk & Issue Mitigation: Identify risks related to schedule, cost, or scope; help implement mitigation strategies.
• Additional Duties: Participate in bidding, collaborate with architects/engineers/electricians, prepare compliance records.
