Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 3 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or 0 years experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in project management, scheduling, organization, leadership, communication, and general computer skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
• Proven experience leading construction projects
• Experience working within heavy industrial facilities
• Experience with machinery
• U.S. citizenship
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Ability to work in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments
• Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces, and work through extreme temperature variances

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage construction of new or expanded facilities
• Develop architectural and engineering documents, cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and project schedules
• Procure and oversee external contractors
• Recommend architectural and engineering standards and procedures for facility planning and design
• Lead detailed design efforts and oversee budget development
• Ensure standardized construction practices
• Conduct final project inspections
• Perform construction surveillance to verify compliance with contractual obligations and technical requirements
• Provide expert engineering consultation and support to local and divisional offices
• Support Buildings & Grounds, Waterfront, or Utilities engineering value streams
