Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience.
• Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• The following relevant Bachelor degrees may be used in lieu of an ABET Engineering Degree: Construction Engineering, Project Management or related construction degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and oversee construction of new or expanded facilities, prepare estimates, plans, specs and schedules.
• Obtain and supervise outside contractors, review design procedures and standards for facilities.
• Manage contractor relations, safety assessments and quality inspections for project delivery.
• Coordinate multiple construction projects with stakeholders and support cost estimates and studies.
