Job summary

Jobtailor in Newport News, VA is seeking an experienced construction project manager to plan, design, and oversee construction of new or expanded facilities. You will develop architectural and engineering documents, cost estimates, schedules, and oversee external contractors.

You will lead design efforts, manage budgets, ensure standardized practices, and conduct final inspections while ensuring compliance with contractual and technical standards. U.S.

Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 3 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree; or 0 years experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in project management, scheduling, organization, leadership, communication, and general computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience leading construction projects
  • Experience working within heavy industrial facilities
  • Experience with machinery
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Ability to work in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments
  • Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces, and work through extreme temperature variances
