Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Engineer I-Facilities (Construction Design Engineer) for the Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon.

You will partner with the Construction Manager to identify, create, and bid design packages for tool install and base build projects, focusing on process tool installation design and interconnect requirements. As part of the Facilities Site Services team, you will draw up diagrams, coordinate with external consultants, and obtain city approvals while managing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional level experience.
• 0-2 years of engineering experience.
• CAD proficiency required for design work.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, utility matrices, and construction drawings.
• Analytical skills for data evaluation and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify, create, and bid construction design packages for in-house tool install and base build teams.
• Develop process tool installation design packages and base build design packages.
• Define utility points of connection (POC) and demand requirements with system owners.
• Create one-line diagrams and utility matrices for all facility interconnects.
• Coordinate with external consultants for structural evaluation and design.
• Permit design packages through the City and manage contractor bids.
