Job summary

ABM is seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee a designated site, lead day-to-day operations, and ensure performance goals are met. The role may include administrative tasks and hands-on supervision of janitorial and porter staff.

Responsibilities include client liaisons, scheduling, safety training, and ensuring proper cleaning methods and equipment use. A driver’s license and minimum two years supervising staff are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience supervising employees.
• Experience in the commercial cleaning industry is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships with a positive customer service orientation.
• Serve as main point-of-contact for client liaisons, meeting regularly to confirm quality standards are met and service issues are resolved.
• Provide leadership and support while being available for emergency and off-hour support.
• Promote strong safety culture and PPE training; follow safe movement practices.
• Plan and assign work schedules to ensure service delivery expectations are achieved.
• Ensure timely responses to client-reported emergency cleaning situations.
• Train staff on building and property security protocols at each site.
• Train staff on ABM standard cleaning methods and non-standard protocols.
• Train staff to store and use cleaning supplies properly; maintain SDS and OSHA requirements.
• Train staff on safe operation of cleaning equipment.
• Train and manage Site janitorial and Porter staff.
• Monitor timekeeping entries for adherence to schedules and policy.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue with additional billable work.
• Arrange substitutions or perform work during staff absences.
