Job summary

Designer Brands is seeking a diligent janitor/custodian to maintain cleanliness across the facility. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, walls, glass, and sanitizing areas while identifying potential hazards and reporting needs for repairs.

Essential duties cover restrooms, entryways, offices, and common areas with emphasis on safety and reliability. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of janitorial or housekeeping experience.
• Experience in distribution/fulfillment center or manufacturing env preferred.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Availability for extended weekday hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean entryways, restrooms, stairwells, breakrooms, offices, elevator, etc.
• Vacuum, mop, sweep, dust and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Clean windows inside and outside the building.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and mix solutions as directed.
• Restock supplies and report hazards or needed repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
