Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking an Environmental Services Custodian to maintain clean and sanitary conditions across the Harry & David campus offices, restrooms, lounges, break rooms, and production areas. Duties include sweeping, mopping, cleaning, sanitizing, polishing, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and performing mobility tasks such as walking, bending, reaching, and stooping.

Qualifications

• Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform daily physical tasks.
• Ability to walk, bend, reach, stoop, and clean using standard cleaning equipment.
• Background check, drug testing, and driving record review required; Oregon driver’s license with good record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, clean, sanitize, polish, dust, vacuum, and remove trash.
• Monitor building security and safety; lock doors after hours and manage electrical hazards.
• Service, clean, and stock restrooms; gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners to protect floors and fixtures.
• Prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Requisition supplies and equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
