Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a building or multiple client sites. Exact tasks are flexible to client specifications, with opportunities to contribute to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include floor care, restroom upkeep, trash disposal, window cleaning, carpet spot cleaning, and restocking supplies. Requires a high school diploma or 6 months janitorial experience; on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or a minimum of six months in a janitorial role.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans; use of compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedules.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, buffers).
• Other duties as assigned by scope of work or customer needs.
