Job summary

The New York State Department of Health is seeking a full-time cleaning associate in Town of Oxford, NY. The role performs a wide range of cleaning tasks following disinfectant and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include collecting trash, cleaning and disposing of hazardous waste, preparing cleaning solutions, washing floors and restrooms, replacing light fixtures, and assisting with light grounds maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• No education or experience requirements.
• Must be physically capable of performing cleaning tasks.
• Preferred: experience in long-term care geriatric setting cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks following disinfectant, waste disposal, and cleanliness standards.
• Collect and empty trash and recycling according to schedules.
• Clean and remove hazardous items, waste, and spills; dispose of items properly.
