NYS Office of Children and Family Services is seeking a dedicated custodial professional to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, and common areas, handling waste, and assisting with setup for meetings and events.

Candidates must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and comply with background check requirements and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor and understand written or oral instructions.
• Background checks, fingerprinting, and checks of applicable state and federal records are required.

Responsabilités

• Washes floors, corridors, stairs, walls, and windows with cleaning implements.
• Collects, transports, and disposes of medical waste and spoiled linens following procedures.
• Cleans blood spills and bodily fluids and handles waste safely.
• Strips, waxes, vacuums, shampoos, and dusts assigned areas with equipment.
• Cleans lavatories and locker rooms; maintains tile floors and fixtures.
• Replaces light bulbs and cleans high fixtures using ladders.
• Removes hazardous articles and disposes of them properly.
• Moves furniture and equipment for cleaning and events.
