Job summary

Loomis- is seeking a diligent janitor to perform routine cleaning and maintenance across our facilities in Pittsburgh. The role involves floor care, trash removal, restroom upkeep, dusting, and surface cleaning to ensure a safe, clean environment.

The position requires stamina to stand on concrete for most of the shift, ability to lift ~50 lbs, and basic English communication for records and reporting. Prior cleaning experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to push/pull wagons, carts, buggies or dollies.
• Stand on concrete floor for a majority of shift.
• Read and speak English to communicate with co-workers and read receipts/reports.
• Ability to sign and record numbers and prepare reports.
• Light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and vacuuming.
• Gather, empty, and discard trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Notify managers about major repairs or additions to building systems.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent infestation.
