  • Technical Exposure: Gain exposure to high-purity acid, base, and solvent systems (pumped/gas pressured), as well as ultra-pure gases (inert, flammable, corrosive, and pyrophoric).
  • Equipment Familiarity: Learn about critical components such as Chemical Distribution Units (CDUs), Valve Manifold Boxes (VMBs), Gas Cabinets, and Cryogenic Tanks.
  • Water Treatment: Assist in understanding de-ionized and ultrapure water systems, including reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and ultrafiltration processes.
  • Engineering Analysis: Support the team in reviewing system capacity vs. demand, assisting with troubleshooting, and performing systems assessments to drive improvement roadmaps.
  • Documentation: Assist in the development and maintenance of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reliability Focus: Participate in reliability-driven tasks such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
2. Project Management Support:
  • Lifecycle Management: Support the engineering analysis, design, and installation oversight of chemical and gas distribution systems.
  • Scope & Execution: Assist with projects ranging from individual component installations (like a single VMB) to large-scale factory-wide distribution systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Learn how to coordinate with diverse engineering disciplines, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Construction & Commissioning: Assist in reviewing construction documentation (submittals/RFIs) and participate in the commissioning process to ensure equipment performs to design specifications.
  • Financial Awareness: Learn the business side of engineering by assisting with project financial tracking, including purchase orders and capital forecasts.
