Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a custodian to provide exceptional custodial services, maintain cleanliness, and support program spaces in accordance with our mission and policies. The role requires reading and following written and verbal instructions and working independently to cover assigned zones.

Responsibilities include cleaning varied areas, restocking supplies, assisting with pool area cleanliness, and helping with events setup.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Six months or more related custodial experience preferred.
• Able to lift or carry 30 pounds.
• Read labels and MSDS information sheets and instructions.
• Ability to work independently and follow priorities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, floors, walls, windows and other areas.
• Empty waste containers inside and outside the building.
• Replace soap, paper towels, and other supplies; report stock issues.
• Assist with pool area cleanliness and general building setup.
• Set up furniture for special events and displays; assist with signage.
• Follow YMCA policies, safety and emergency procedures; report problems.
