Job summary

TCWGlobal is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to support the design, operation, and improvement of a large mission-critical facility in St. Louis.

The role combines facility engineering with project management for capital improvements, renovations, and equipment upgrades, with emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, and BAS. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, building automation systems, and capital project execution, and will collaborate with management and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• PE and/or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute capital projects, facility repairs, renovations, and system upgrades.
• Serve as a technical resource for mechanical facility systems including HVAC and plumbing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and propose corrective maintenance and improvements.
• Develop system requirements and support projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, specs, equipment lists and construction documents.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and related tools to create drawings and models.
• Coordinate construction, installation, testing, and commissioning to meet specs and codes.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and contractor/submittals.
• Provide guidance to construction teams, contractors, and operations staff.
