Job summary

Fulton County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Building Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of its facilities. You will manage day-to-day maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems, and ensure safe, clean operating environments across sites.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, 3+ years in facilities maintenance, and a valid Georgia driver's license. You will coordinate with vendors and lead preventive maintenance programs and safety

Qualifications

• Engineering, Building Construction, Facilities Management or related degree OR equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing maintenance and/or building maintenance and management
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and extend the life of building assets.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prioritize maintenance projects based on budget constraints.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, such as fires, floods, and power outages.
• Coordinate with emergency services and building occupants during emergencies.
• Performs other related duties as required.
