Job summary

The Building Maintenance Manager at Fulton County Sheriff's Office is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of county facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate with vendors, implement preventive programs, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Facilities Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in HVAC, electrical, plumbing maintenance and/or building management.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and extend building asset life.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prioritize maintenance projects based on budget constraints.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and compliance with codes.
