Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Facilities Automation Systems Administrator Supervisor to lead and manage a team responsible for BAS, SCADA, LMS, and OT infrastructure across university facilities.

The role requires strong Windows/Linux administration, OT/IT integration knowledge, and experience with virtualization, networking, and security controls. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with leadership responsibilities and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BAS, SCADA, and OT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, and networking.
• Understanding OT vs IT environments and change-management risks.
• Experience supervising technical staff in large facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support BAS, Environmental Control Systems, LMS, SCADA platforms, and OT infrastructure.
• Manage virtualization, storage, backup, and network environments supporting OT systems.
• Oversee Windows and Linux operating systems administration.
• Coordinate incident response, outages, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop standards for configuration, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.
• Lead a team of Facilities Automation Systems Administrators, including performance reviews and coaching.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders and vendors on projects and upgrades.
