Job Summary

Supports a facility through management of projects and contracts related to maintenance and improvement of electrical, structural, and mechanical systems. Coordinates facilities changes and improvements; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; communicates changes and improvements to affected facility occupants. Performs activities under minimal supervision.

  • Drive successful project execution by coordinating closely with plant managers and site leadership to ensure facility projects are aligned with operational needs and business priorities.
  • Translate facility requirements into actionable plans by developing detailed project specifications, including space utilization, infrastructure, and long‑term scalability needs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation by delivering projects that fully meet state and local building codes and safety standards.
  • Lead end‑to‑end construction project delivery by managing design, contractor selection, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution to achieve timelines and cost targets.
  • Strengthen supplier strategy and reduce costs by partnering with indirect purchasing to rationalize the supplier base, negotiate contracts, and drive measurable savings.
  • Maintain financial control and accountability by preparing budgets, securing approvals, managing purchase orders, and validating invoices to ensure cost efficiency and transparency.
  • Enhance facility reliability and safety by overseeing maintenance programs and proactively solving technical issues through analytical and hands‑on problem solving.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by supporting audits, updating facility documentation, leading process improvements, and flexibly prioritizing critical work to meet evolving site demands.

  • Deliver customer‑centric facility solutions by understanding the needs of plant operations and occupants, ensuring that facility design, maintenance, and services directly support productivity and safety.
  • Make high‑quality, timely decisions by balancing technical expertise, cost considerations, and operational impact to keep projects moving forward and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Continuously build technical and leadership capability by seeking opportunities to grow in facilities design, construction management, and building systems (electrical, HVAC), while learning from hands‑on experience and feedback.
  • Demonstrate strong facilities expertise by effectively managing design, construction, maintenance, and operations—including asset reliability, preventive maintenance systems, and contractor performance—to ensure safe and efficient facilities.
  • Leverage diverse perspectives to improve outcomes by valuing input from different stakeholders, fostering an inclusive environment, and integrating varied ideas into stronger, more innovative facility and operational solutions.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Has completed an apprenticeship or regional post‑secondary program in engineering or facilities. Must pass all related testing.
Experience
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on‑the‑job experience.
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems is required.
