Job summary

EchoStar in Roseland, NJ, is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform routine maintenance, support office moves, and keep our campuses safe and operational. You will work with HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, lift up to 40 pounds, and respond to emergencies, with on-site collaboration across teams.

This role requires a GED/HS diploma and 6 months related experience; a valid driver's license; and on-call availability may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 6 months related maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate standard maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, office moves, and repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance and repair needs
• Maintain building and property through keeping it in clean and orderly condition
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and tools
• Respond to facility-related emergencies and take appropriate action
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 6 months of related experience, including the use of standard, maintenance related power tools and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical labor as required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking lots
• Open to occasional on call in the case of emergencies
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $18.29/Hour - $26.15/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
