Job description

JOB DEFINITION:

The Facilities Associate will perform basic maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical and support services. Although he/she may occasionally have use of the Agency vehicles, he/she will mostly be required to use his/her personal vehicle and personal maintenance tools. The Facilities Associate routinely interacts with all Agency staff and clients.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or its equivalent


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

1-2 years of relevant building maintenance experience.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to program sites and resident's homes, to include but not limited to: painting, masonry, woodwork, plumbing and electrical. Work will be delegated from work orders submitted by program directors and/or administrative personnel under the direction and oversight of the Facilities Supervisor.
  2. Performs office relocations and/or resident relocations, as required;
  3. Assists with the relocation process including: moving furniture, removing debris, painting, repairing site for new residents.
  4. Troubleshoots residential sites for potential maintenance and/or safety issues and makes recommendations to management regarding same. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency;
  5. Assists in acquiring vendor bids in collaboration with the Facilities Supervisor, Accounting Department and Director of Operations
  6. Follows safety regulations, company policies and enforces same when job assignment requires the assistance of temporary workers;
  7. Stands in for Facilities Supervisor as needed.
  8. Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
  9. Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.

  11. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines.
