Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Facilities Assistant to ensure a clean, safe, organized workplace. The role is on-site Monday–Friday, from 12 to 5 pm, with responsibilities spanning supplies, maintenance coordination, and general administrative support to employees, visitors, and vendors.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities while contributing to a positive experience for staff and guests.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience in facilities, office support, administrative, or operations-related work.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems and general facility maintenance.
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
  • Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position, including temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including OPT and CPT), TN, J, H-1B, or those who need employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain office supply inventories and coordinate ordering to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Conduct routine inspections of office facilities and grounds to identify maintenance, safety, and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to schedule repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility-related services.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, including kitchens, break rooms, conference rooms, and other shared spaces.
  • Receive, sort, distribute, and ship mail and packages.
  • Provide general administrative support and serve as backup reception coverage when needed.
  • Perform local errands, deliveries, and other office support activities.
  • Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces for company meetings, training sessions, and special events.
  • Restore meeting and event spaces to their original configurations following use.
  • Support facility operations at other company locations as needed through occasional travel.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, cleaning, and operational readiness of company vehicles.
  • Maintain office equipment and specialized print-shop equipment, including laser cutters and 3D printers.
  • Assist with printing, binding, and document production requests.
  • Help ensure a positive workplace experience by providing responsive support to employees and visitors.

Position Summary

The Facilities Assistant plays a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, organized, and efficient workplace environment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in facilities, office operations, property maintenance, or workplace services.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or external service providers.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and supply ordering processes.
  • Experience supporting company meetings, events, or workplace programs.
  • Knowledge of custodial practices and facility maintenance coordination.
  • Experience maintaining fleet vehicles or coordinating vehicle service schedules.
  • Familiarity with print production equipment, including large-format printers, laser cutters, or 3D printers.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Rate: $21.30 - $23 USD

Work Arrangement

DLR Group follows a four-day in-office work model, with employees having the flexibility to work somewhere other than the office on Fridays.
