Job summary

St Basils is seeking a Facilities Assistant to clean communal areas across a group of properties within the operating area. You will be responsible for cleaning living rooms, kitchens, corridors, bathrooms, and staff areas, and void units as required.

The role requires COSHH regulation knowledge, ability to interpret safety data sheets, and experience with cleaning equipment. It is site-based with travel between sites and a DBS check is required.

Job description

As our Facilities Assistant , you will be responsible for cleaning a group of properties within our operating areas. The post holder will be responsible for cleaning communal areas including living rooms, kitchens, corridors, bathrooms, and staff areas. The post holder will also be required to clean void units in their properties as they arise.

You will have a good understanding of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations and COSHH risk assessments. The post holder will also have experience of interpreting safety data sheets and using cleaning equipment.

The role will be entirely site based with no option for home working and the post holder will be expected to travel between sites. The post holder will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must either have a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle or be able to demonstrate that they can use public transport without negatively impacting their duties.
