Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Facilities Assistant for the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) at the Southaven, MS distribution facility. You will manage lift battery changes, operate floor equipment, and help maintain clean, organized warehouse operations.

The role requires shift availability, the ability to lift 40 pounds, use hand tools, and perform routine maintenance tasks. A non-climate controlled environment and forklift certifications are involved.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3:00pm–11:30pm).
• Must be able to work in a non-climatized warehouse environment.
• Must be able to change forklift batteries in a timely manner.
• Must possess good oral communication and be able to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary lift battery attendant on 1st shift to ensure all lifts have batteries changed safely and expediently.
• Operate a floor sweeper and scrubber daily.
• Replenish water bottles and cups daily and replace water dispensers as needed.
• Remove and replace damaged racks.
• Pallet recycling daily; put away supplies from suppliers.
• Keep supply racks organized and clean; minor maintenance tasks.
• Assemble furniture; evaluate machines, conveyors, and report issues timely.
• Inspect racks and eyewash for serviceability weekly.

We’re looking for dedicated people with the skills and vision to build a better tomorrow! By joining our distribution Facilities team, you will assist the maintaining operational readiness and implementing facility related improvements.

**We are looking for a Facilities Assistant – 2nd Shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm). This position will be based at our Southaven, MS location (Memphis Distribution Center).**

**Role Description:**

• + Be the primary lift battery attendant on 1st shift to ensure all lift have batteries change safely and expediently.
• + Operate a floor sweeper and scrubber daily.

• + Keep Supply racks organized and clean.
• + Minor maintenance task
• + Assembly furniture
• + Evaluate machines issues, conveyors, and report to facilities coordinator timely.
• + Minor plumbing and cleaning
• + Maintain cleanliness front office parking lots as needed.
• + Conduct monthly inspections on ladder
• + Inspect Racks and eyewash for serviceability weekly.

**Basic Qualifications:**

• + To be able to lift 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• + Certification on Order picker and counterbalance lifts
• + Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3pm – 11:30pm)
• + Ability to work with common hand tools.
• + Must be able to work in a non-climatized warehouse environment.
• + Must be able to change Forklift batteries in a timely matter.
• + Must possess a positive attitude, work well with others inside and outside the department and have good oral communication skills.
• + Must be self-motivated, independent worker who can take limited direction while making good decisions in the workplace.
• + Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• + Can solve basic math problems and know how to use a ruler.
• + Preferred experience of working independently for 2 years.
