Job summary

Siemens in Fort Worth, TX is hiring for an Assembler I on 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team. The role involves mechanical assembly of low‑voltage switchgear, wiring and subassemblies, using standard tools and equipment.

Shift is 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with a pay rate of $18.11 to $21.74 per hour. Ideal candidates have basic computer skills, reading English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with 6+ months assembly/wiring experience as a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and use of basic mechanical/ measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Lift 50lbs and perform movements like stoop, bend, squat, crawl and climb.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 6+ months Assembly/Wiring experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and scan in and out work orders using computers and scanners per production schedule.
• Read and interpret documents (blueprints, BOMs, one-line diagrams) for assembly tasks.
• Assemble fabrications to build unit assemblies or subassemblies with hand and power tools.
• Prepare finished units for shipping (packing, labeling).
• Secure components on frames/subassemblies ensuring specs and customer orders are met.
• Disassemble units to replace parts and connect cables/wires as needed.
• Perform other work as advised by supervision.

Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00PM - 12:30AM)

Hourly Rate: $18.11 - $21.74

Basic Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills, and use of basic mechanical/ measuring tools.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English Language
• Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl and climb.
• Reach, grasp, lift 50lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months Assembly/Wiring Experience

You’ll make an impact by:

• Processing and scanning in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
• Reading and interpretation of documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).
• Collection of parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
• Preparing finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
• Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attaches identifying tags, reports non-conforming items.
• Performs other work as advised by Supervision.
